Vote Is Over, Protests Continue

Thousands of gay rights advocates gathered last weekend throughout the country to protest the passage of Proposition 8, which ended same-sex marriage in California. An estimated 10,000 protesters showed up at San Francisco City Hall. California Attorney General Jerry Brown has urged the state Supreme Court to immediately hear the legal challenges to Prop 8 and rule on the legality of the measure.
